New Awnings for Campus Sidewalks

The Council has decided to focus their efforts in raising the funds needed to build new awnings. The awnings will cover sidewalks throughout campus to provide shelter for the residents.
PAST PROJECTS
Projector and Sound System

In 2021 the Ed Jennings Gymnasium received a brand new sound system and projector! The new system will be used for movies in the gym and holiday programs for our residents to enjoy!
Mural
​
​Also completed in 2021 was the 700 square foot mural in the heart of CHDC's campus. The mural wraps around the building under the campus Chapel. Muralist Emily Mente worked with Hendrix College students to complete the project!

Parent Houses
​
In 2014, the triplex of parent houses which were a 7 year project were finally completed. The apartments serve as a place for family members to stay and visit their loved ones, while helping to off-set some of the high cost of travel.
Therapeutic Pool

Built in 1999, the therapeutic pool is one of the council's biggest projects to date. Still running strong the pool allows for Hydrotherapy, Relaxation Training, Sensory Experiences and Recreational Swimming.
